Title : Docomo PaletteUI Installation in TOKYO DESIGNERS WEEK

About the Work
The Palette UI is an original user interface by docomo, which especially demonstrates functions with sorting, grouping and customizing. This is an installation that enables visitors to touch and feel the features using the real Android device. Various objects are projected and flown from above to bottom on the wall. These objects are changed via the mobile device into moving graphics of the Pallet UI. Visitors can flick and move the objects on the screen of the device to slide the images of objects, which represents the feelings of sorting disordered things. We upgraded the video installation for the GOOD DESIGN EXPO 2011, hold in the summer of the same year, in this video installation.

About the Exhibition
WOW were commissioned to space and visual designs for the docomo booth at Tokyo Designers Week, which is hold annually in Gaienmae. We designed the light tunnel that enabled visitors to touch and feel the Palette UI with the back of the tunnel projected with 8 projectors and using 8 Android devices inside the tunnel.

Built with openFrameworksMax/MSP.
